After 25 years of teaching and research at the Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg, Dr Armin Ißleib founds the engineering company HARDTOP Gießereitechnologie GmbH.
January 1998
Business operations commence with 10 young scientists from the University of Magdeburg.
1998 – 2000
Identifying its key areas as an engineering company, HARDTOP focuses on the development of innovative foundry technologies, bimetal casting technologies and services for the foundry industry.
2001-2002
Adaption of the business concept by extending the solidification simulation ProCast™ and building a distribution system for bimetallic wear parts.
2003 – 2006
Strengthening of national and international sales due to acquisition of key customers, concentration on OEMs and development of a worldwide distribution network.

Establishment of the subsidiary company HARDTOP Centrum Odlewnictwa, Sp. z o. o. (Poland)
December 2006
Construction and Commissioning of a powder forging facility in Harzgerode (Germany)
January 2007
Irina Ißleib-Lubojanski is granted signing authority for the company.

Establishment of the joint venture HARDTOP Bimetals (Ningguo) Co., Ltd. (China)

HARDTOP celebrates the 10th anniversary of the company in the presence of over 100 guests from 13 countries on 4 continents.
